  • Tickets for the 2024 summer festival are on sale and you can buy them here. Tickets are also available on Lippu.fi and Tiketti, where you can also pay with the most common vouchers.

    Open 1-Day Tickets:

Open Day Tickets: An open day ticket entitles you to access the festival area on the day of your choice. The ticket does not need to be registered in advance; instead, the ticket holder can exchange their ticket for a one-day wristband at the wristband exchange point.

  • All 2024 festival tickets will be exchanged for wristbands. We will provide detailed instructions on wristbands and exchange points during the Spring.

We encourage you to exchange your ticket to a wristband in advance. The wristband will be attached to your wrist during the exchange, so you cannot collect them on behalf of someone else.

  • All vendors in the festival area (bars, restaurants, merchandise, cloakroom, etc.) accept only the most common credit cards, contactless payments, and mobile payment options that support contactless payments.

Card is the most convenient and fastest way to pay at the festival. We do not accept cash at the event.

  • Everyone is welcome to Sideways as themselves!

Every festival visitor and event staff member has the right to feel safe without fear of discrimination, harassment, sexual, physical or verbal harassment. Everyone should contribute to this and help create a safer space through their own actions.

Sideways follows safer space principles, and any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior is not tolerated at the event. If you witness or experience inappropriate behavior, do not hesitate to contact a security personell, event staff, or harassment contact person. Event staff are instructed to pay special attention to promoting integrity and freedom from discrimination.

The Sideways harassment liaison officer will be available throughout the festival week.

    UN Safer Space Principles

    - Respect personal physical and mental space. Respect autonomy. Do not touch others without permission. Remember that you cannot know someone's boundaries without asking. Request space for yourself if needed.

    • Do not mock, ridicule, demean, exclude, or embarrass anyone with your words, behavior, or actions. Avoid commenting on appearance, gossiping, and perpetuating stereotypes.

    • Do not make assumptions based on appearance or actions. Do not assume anyone's sexuality, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, values, socio-economic background, health, or ability.

    - Give space. Make sure that everyone has a chance to participate in the discussion. Don't dilute other people's opinions and give them a chance to speak. Also respect the privacy of others and deal with sensitive issues in a respectful way.

    • Listen and learn. Be open-minded about new topics, people, and perspectives. Approach every encounter and situation as an opportunity to learn and grow.

    • Apologise if you have intentionally or unintentionally hurt others

If you see someone behaving inappropriately or otherwise violating the Safer Space policy, intervene and report the situation to our staff. There will be a harassment contact person at the event, whose contact details will be provided closer to the event.

  • Sideways' accreditation for Summer 2024 is now open. You can fill in the application form here: https://www.tiketti.fi/sideways-2024-sw-accreditation-en-akkreditointi/1917200
We will be reviewing applications during the Spring. If you have any questions about accreditation, do not hesitate to contact us.

Each person arriving in Sideways with a free ticket (media representative, artist guest, etc.) is required to pay an accreditation fee of 10 euros to a charity cause upon collection of the wristband. This year, we will direct the contribution to support humanitarian aid in Gaza.

Previous partners of Sideways have included, for example, UNICEF, the Red Cross, SETA and so on. We will announce the charity destination for 2024 later.
